Happy July! It's Creative QT Screen Free Travel Month!

Most parents will agree that the toughest time to stay screen free is when you are on the go. Whether it is in the car, on the plane or out and about with family, it can be so tempting to use a screen just to keep the peace. Don't panic! Creative QT is here to help by providing you with some ideas to keep your July screen free and full of quality family time.

Going on vacation is meant to be relaxing, but any parent knows that when the kids are tagging along there can be some pretty stressful times. Most parents these days have a tendency to revert to giving their children screen time. We understand the reasons behind this, but we would love to help your family to adopt a stronger screen free culture, and instead focus on our core Make Time Together philosophy.

Throughout the month of July we will be providing you with a range of screen free activities for various vacation situations: long car rides; plane journeys; and family outings. We want these activities to inspire you and your family to avoid the situation where both parents are sat on their phone and all kids are watching various tv shows on their iPads. Trust me, I have been in this situation myself so there is no judgement. I have also been in the situation where as a family we have played a creative game in the car or done a play based learning activity in a restaurant. The benefits and laughter that have resulted from these screen free activities is what I want your family to experience and enjoy!

To further encourage your family to get involved with our screen free travel month, we are launching a Stuffed Animal Storage Bean Bag giveaway through Creative QT's Instagram account (@creativeqt). To enter the giveaway, please post pictures of your family enjoying some screen free travel activities together. They can be original ideas or a shot of you sampling an idea we have published through the blog. There will be a stuffed animal storage bean bag (pattern and size of winners' choice) up for grabs for the top four pictures! A full explanation of how to enter is available on Instagram so make sure you are following us - @creativeqt!

Stay tuned all month long for more tips and tricks to keep kids busy (screen free) while you travel!
