On-the-go DUPLO® Compatible Play Container

We are always on the lookout for ways to keep younger members of the family happily entertained when out and about. It's amazing how having a simple set of toys on hand can make all the difference during family outings! On the blog today we are sharing this simple DIY Peel 'n Stick hack which is sure to keep youngsters playing and having fun.

What you need:

- one DUPLO® Compatible Peel 'n Stick Baseplate

- a snap handle container

- a sharp craft or utility knife

- chopping board or craft mat

- DUPLO bricks to cut against

- a fun DUPLO set (we chose this adorable Minnie Mouse one)

You can check out our tutorial Reel on Instagram for all the visual details on how to cut the baseplate to size. It's really simple though, just measure up how big you need the piece to cover the top of your container. Then use DUPLO blocks to mark out the cutting line and use a sharp craft knife to score the baseplate. Go over the same line at least 5/6 times. Then remove the DUPLOs and gently bend the baseplate until it snaps. Use the craft knife to cut through the red backing and then repeat the process to cut the baseplate also to the correct width. Once you have your piece of baseplate the right size, peel off the backing and stick it to the top of the container. Apply even pressure to make sure the plate contacts the lid entirely.

Once the container is ready, tip in the DUPLO set and you are ready for some fun play! Our little building block enthusiast had a blast with Minnie and her birthday party!

Best of all, when the play is done, just pop all the blocks back in the container ready for the next adventure.
