Lovely Little DIY Brick Boxes

There's just something so special about handmaking a sweet little gift for kids during Valentine's Day. Whether you go all out or keep it simple, this Lovely Little Brick Box is such a fun DIY LEGO project we're confident your kids will love!

Materials Needed:

  • Creative QT Peel 'n Stick Baseplates - we used red and pink
  • Photo Boxes, we found these in the Valentine's section at Walmart, $2 each
  • Craft or utility knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Building Bricks - we used LEGO building bricks and DUPLOs

Instructions:

Our Peel 'n Stick Baseplates are ideal for DIY projects like this because they can be easily CUT TO SIZE and there is NO GLUE REQUIRED. Start off by measuring the underside area of the lid. Mark out this area on your baseplate using bricks. Cut along the line of bricks, repeating the cut line several times.

Remove the bricks and gently apply some pressure as you bend the baseplate until it snaps. Cut through the red backing.

Now comes the really easy part: just peel off the red backing and stick down the baseplate! Apply a little pressure to ensure the adhesive contacts the lid and then you are all set!

We filled one box with DUPLOs for our younger builder and used LEGOs for our older creator. We even left them a cute message!

A darling gift to keep our littles busy and creative, with the added bonus of keeping those bricks neatly organized!
