5 Fun Ways to Play with Pixel Bricks™!
Did you get a pack of Pixel Bricks™ recently? We've got five really fun ways that you can play with them to help keep the creativity flowing over the coming months. So get your bricks ready and find a comfy spot to play...
1. Free Building
This is a pretty obvious one but unsurprisingly it is often what kids enjoy most- just being let loose with a baseplate and loads of Pixel Bricks. We've seen some awesome creations over the past year, we especially love this uniquely festive Mickey Mouse design by @making.main.street.
Allowing your children the time to freely explore their Pixel Bricks is not only great for their imagination and creativity, it also helps to work on skills such as problem solving. It might require them to play with a sense of trial and error when trying to make a certain design for the first time. This is great for developing their engineering skills, as well as their patience! We love this wintery snowman design by @resources4learning kiddos!
2. Follow a Design Template
Did you know that we have a whole host of fun design templates available for FREE DOWNLOAD on our website? Best of all these designs are regularly updated to keep your kids happily engaged. Some of our most popular designs include the dinosaur and unicorn templates, as shown here by @isateony.
3. Adding Some Art to a Letter Board
We love seeing our Pixel Bricks paired up with our StoryBricks® Letter Board to make fun signs to share around the house. This can be a great way to add a seasonal splash of excitement to the fridge! We love this fun summer-themed letter board by @steph_mc.knight!
And who can resist this letter board to brighten your day by @hands_on_learning_101.
4. STEM Challenges
Here at Creative QT® we love a good STEM challenge and we've been so happy to see our Pixel Bricks featuring in some brilliant ones. How fun is this idea to build a tiny mouse maze by @early_childhood_fun1!
We also think this idea by @tinyn3rds to use the Pixel Bricks and StoryBricks on a MagPlate® for a decoding activity is genius. What a fun way to make literacy learning hands on and engaging!
5. On-the-go Creativity
The great thing about the Pixel Bricks is that they are small and therefore ideal for on-the-go play. We've shared several fun DIY hacks using our Peel 'n Stick Baseplates and Pixel Bricks but this DIY Pixel Art Travel Box has to be our all-time favorite!
We hope you've got some fresh and fun new ways to play with your Pixel Bricks! Remember to tag us, @creativeqt, on social media so we can see your awesome creations!
