This post is included in part of a week long series featuring STEAM learning activities the whole family can enjoy in collaboration with the popular Instagram account @steamkidschallenge.
Add the word 'race' to any sentence and kids get excited! Ok, so maybe us parents do too! That's why we came up with the idea to create The Great Stuff 'n Sit Race. Who will stuff the most stuffed animals into their storage bean bag? The race is on!
It's pretty simple: it's a race to see who can fill their Stuff 'n Sit with the most stuffed animals!
Here's a video capturing the pure panic and nail biting tension of the race. This honestly was so much fun!
As you can see, kids and parents love this activity! Nothing beats being victorious over Mom or Dad!
Not only is it exciting and fun, but it also can be turned into a great math based learning activity. Kids can work on their counting skills as they fill their Stuff 'n Sit, and again as they do the final check on numbers.
You can switch things up by only allowing a certain amount of time for stuffing. If you are a bigger family you could also do this in teams. Another fun twist might be to take it in turns timing how long it takes to stuff the bean bag with 50 stuffed animals.
If you are looking for some family fun, we guarantee this will get you all laughing. So what are you waiting for... ready, set, stuff!

Shared materials are a thing of the past this school year so we've been getting creative with ways to make individual learning resources with our products. In this blog we share how to use ourStoryBricks® andPeel 'n Stick Baseplates to turn a small $1 container into a multi-purpose learning box which fits conveniently inside a student's desk.
