Do your kids love LEGO? Ours too! How about books, do they enjoy reading? Same here! That's why we've put together a list of our Top 6 LEGO Themed Books for Kids!

Lego and reading activities for kids

Adding a book to a building session is such a great way to extend the fun and learning. Best of all, the books can inspire so much creative play beyond what your kids see on the pages.

1. LEGO Awesome Ideas by Daniel Lipkowitz

This book is bursting with great ideas that will keep your littles building for hours! We love how the illustrations show the creations in creative settings as this helps to prompt engaging role play. How can kids resist these builds?

2. LEGO Minifigures: Mix & Match by Michael Petranek

Gather all of your kids' Minifigures and challenge them to use the book for some hands-on mixing and matching! You could even challenge your kids to make their own Minifigures Mix & Match book to encourage their artistic talents to develop!

3. EPIC LEGO ADVENTURES with Bricks You Already Have by Sarah Dees

Sarah Dees is an absolute genius when it comes to getting creative with LEGOs! In this book she shares step-by-step instructions for a huge range of fun LEGO builds using bricks you most likely already have. We love how she creates exciting adventures throughout the book to help engage kids.

4. Build It! Make Supercool Models with Your LEGO Classic Set by Jennifer Kemmeter

This series of books works perfectly for younger and beginner builders. The creations involve fewer pieces and the instructions are very simple and easy to follow. We also love that you can make all of the builds using just the bricks in a Classic Set.

5. Amazing ABC: An Alphabet Book of LEGO Creations by Sean Kenney

This little board book is a gem! It makes learning about letters hands-on and fun, with only basic bricks required! The bold images will really appeal to younger builders, with older siblings embracing the challenge of engineering letters and words. Each letter also has an impressive LEGO build to match.

6. LEGO Crazy Action Contraptions Craft Kit by Klutz

Looking for something more advanced? Klutz offer several fun LEGO Craft Kit books, but this Crazy Action Contraptions one is our favorite. With bricks, gears, and axels all included, older builders will love making their own working creations!

Do your kids have a favorite LEGO-themed book? They make such great gifts for LEGO-lovers and are a perfect way to Make Time Together!
